Since 2005 twin brothers Alan and Michael Fleming have been developing a collaborative embodied practice. Employing video, performance, photography and sculpture they create work which deals with phenomenology and the body's relationship to built environments. Their work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including shows in Chicago, New York, Berlin, Glasgow and Rio De Janeiro.

Short Statement:
Balancing, levitating, opening is a three-channel video installation in which the artists create ephemeral sculptures by drinking out of ordinary cans of beer. The piece reveals the artist's hand in the moment of an object becoming sculpture. The work rides an ambiguous line between a portrait of the artists in their studio, parlor tricks, and the ready-made.
